Melanie Brown is an English singer, songwriter, presenter, author, television personality, dancer, actress and model. Born on May 29, 1975, her net worth was estimated at US$50million by 2015.

Her journey to fame started when she attended auditions in 1994 and was chosen to become a member of the British pop group, Spice Girls.

Melanie B has popularly supported girl power and done tours which grossed $500 800 million between 1996 to 2000.

In her solo career and other projects outside Spice Girls, Brown has been equally successful. Her first singleI Want You Backcharted at number one on the UK Singles Chart. It was followed by the release of her debut album Hot in 2000.

Since the year 2000, Melanie has participated in a number of other projects. In 2002 she starred in the BBC3 sitcom Burn It. She later starred as Mimi in the Broadway musical, Rent. Her autobiography, Catcha Fire, was released in 2002. The autobiography records her experiences as a Spice Girl and a pop star. It reached Number 7 on Book Sales Charts.

Melanie Brown has also appeared in feature films such as LD 50 and The Seat Filler.

She launched a signature fashion line, Catty Couture and was contracted to be the face of Ultimo Underwear in the United Kingdom.

In September 2007, she became a contestant on the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars. She wasplaced second with her partner.

In September 2010, Melanie Browns reality show, called Mel B: Its a Scary World, aired on Style Network. Get Fit With Mel B was released a month later in North America and Europe. In the same year, she played a role as a celebrity mentor on the second season of the Australian versions of The X Factor. In February 2012 she was a co-host on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars.

In 2013, MelanieB acted in the Lifetime movie, Twelve Trees of Christmas. From August to September in 2013, she was a judge on the televised dancing show, Stepping Out.

In June 2014, she was confirmed as the fourth judge of the eleventh series of the British version of The X Factor.

Melanie Brown began presenting Lip Sync Battle on Channel 5 in June 2016 alongside Professor Green. She also guest judged at The X Factor at the London auditions.

She starred in the Broadway musical, Chicago as Roxie Hart. Simultaneously, she acted in the movie Chocolate City: Vegas Strip, which has been available on Netflix since August 2017. She also made a cameo in the movie Killing Hasselhoff.

She is currently a judge in Americas Got Talent. Melanie Brown will lend her voice to the movie Blazing Samurai.
