Jeneba Jalloh Ghatt

A Renowned Writer and Technology Enthusiast

Jeneba is the owner, founder and CEO of Ghatt Media, a multimedia holding company for a portfolio of properties. It includes a publishing house (Capitol Glam), a boutique Tech Law firm (Ghatt Law Group) and a media consulting firm called Ghatt Solutions.

Jeneba is a writer. She was a co-author on a book for teens known as Drug Abuse. She has published her own journal article in the CommLaw Conspectus law journal. She has since authored several columns and news pieces in her influential Washington Times column The Politics of Raising Children. She has been the Washington, Congress and White House correspondent for sites like Politic365.com and UrbanFaith.com. Her work has been syndicated on the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Dallas Weekly and many other sites.

Jeneba holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland at College Parks top journalism college. She was an editor at a college newspaper and a US News & World Report intern.

She first got into tech in 1987 when she attended the award-winning Eleanor Roosevelt High School for Science and Technology. She took early computer language courses like BASIC and COBOL. She later curated content for one of the first websites in U.S. history at the University of Marylands Office of Technology.

Jeneba then founded her poli-tech blog, Jenebaspeaks.com in 2010. She has advised start-ups and advocated on behalf of new entrepreneurs. She has been recognized as being impactful in technology and politics. She has attended many tech inclusion sessions on invitation of the White House.

Jeneba is an influential social media personality and columnist. Sites like Yahoo, Politics, The Atlantic, BET.com, The White House Blog and many others have included her in roundups of commentary by respected journalists among established national figures.

She has spoken on national platforms like the largest annual gathering of progressives in the U.S. at Netroots Nation, at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Yale Law School and other events. She has two law degrees and her own law firm, The Ghatt Law Group. Jeneba also owns a PR firm, JJ Ghatt Public Relations.
